Pretec Unveils World’s Fastest SATA II SSD

Taipei, Taiwan, May 28th, 2010 - Pretec, the flash pioneer since 1993, offering the fastest USB flash drive (266X), the fastest CF cards (567X and 667X), fastest SD cards (SDHC 233X C16 and SDXC), the first CFast Storage Card, and the fastest T-SATA SSD (up to 260MB/s) , continues its tradition to offer P4000 SSD series, world’s fastest 2.5” SATA II SSD drives with the optional self-destruction technology at Computex Taipei 2010 (TWTC Nangang Exhibition Hall, Lower Exhibition Hall booth J317a).

Pretec has been focusing on innovative solutions to offer outstanding performance, endurance and reliability of NAND Flash applications. With both the sequential Read/Write speed to reach up to 300MB/s, Pretec P4000 SSDs are the fastest 2.5” SATA II SSD in the world. In addition, P4000 SSDs also achieve the excellent random access performance of 16,000 IOPS and support the TRIM command in Windows 7 for SSD performance enhancement. Other than unparalleled write endurance and error correction, P4000 SSDs also feature sophisticated wear-levelling algorithm which works effectively to prevent Flash cell degradation, giving better reliability and longer lifespan.

P4000 SSDs are available in capacities from 64GB to 1TB. The features of extremely high performance, premium reliability & durability, and superior ruggedness make Pretec P4000 SSDs as the ideal storage solutions for high-end enterprise grade systems, such as servers or professional workstations, in which reliability and performance are paramount. Concurrently, the optional self-destruction technology only takes 0.1 second to execute the complete data erase command which fully prevents those extremely confidential data from being retrieved by the enemies, especially required by the Military and Defense industry.

Pretec’s SATA SSD family includes standard 2.5” drive N2000, M2100, M2000, P4000 ranging from 32GB to 1TB and small form factor SATA drive such as SATA DOM and CFast, the smallest SATA module in the world same as the size of a CF card, which Pretec pioneered in 2009, ranging from 4GB to 128GB. By cascading four (4) of Pretec 2.5” SATA SSD using RAID technology, Pretec’s T-SATA can be as high capacity as 4TB, ready to deliver to customers immediately after Computex.
